I have a blue bunting that visits my yard and this is the first spring, but he doesn’t seem interested in my wild bird seed or my finch seed. I also have suet blocks out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what these little critters like? I really would like to keep them coming back and for him to bring his whole family.

try niger thistle seed in a thistle feeder.
They like small seeds like thistle. They also like fruits and nuts(their beaks are made to crack open nuts).
Interesting, they prefer “platform feeders” according to this link: http://www.for-the-birds.info/attracting-indigo-buntings.htm
I have a Indigo Bunting pair that come back every year. They are here now. They feed from my regular feeder on a pole that has 2 suit holders, one on each side. They were eating my regular wild bird food seed that I buy from wallmart in those huge bags. They also pick at the suit, one is peanut butter and the other is berry suit. They seem content with the food I have for them. They are so beautiful to watch with that amazing blue color and they move so fast and kind of hover around my feeder reminding me of humming birds. Occasionally I put out some expensive fruit and nut seed that does very well too.
